Rol Naath Administration's Statement on the Deployment of Ugandan Troops to South Sudan.

March - 11 - 2025

The Rol Naath Administration unequivocally condemns the deployment of the Ugandan People's Defense Forces (UPDF) to South Sudan at the request of President Salva Kiir, whose intent to escalate hostilities against Nuerland is both malicious and alarming. The recent announcement on X (formerly Twitter) by Uganda’s Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, confirming the arrival of UPDF commandos in Juba to support the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF), constitutes a grave provocation and a direct act of aggression that threatens regional stability.

It is deeply alarming that foreign troops are being introduced into an already volatile situation, not as peacekeepers, but as mercenaries, allegedly receiving salaries as high as $700 USD while their own SSPDF — continues to suffer without pay for nearly a year. This blatant misallocation of resources and exploitation of foreign forces against the people of South Sudan exposes the government’s true priorities: securing its own power while neglecting the very citizens it claims to serve.

The Nuerland Administration assures the international community, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC), and humanitarian organizations that we firmly reject this foreign intervention. We remain committed to protecting our people and our territory from any form of external aggression.

The Naath Defense Forces (NDF) are fully aware of the looming full-scale war that President Salva Kiir is orchestrating. While we have no intention of engaging in conflicts outside our borders, we categorically warn that any foreign force attempting to enter Nuerland will be met with swift and decisive resistance. Our commitment is to the defense of our land and our people, and we will not tolerate any violation of our territorial integrity.

South Sudan must respect the autonomy of Nuerland. Any act that disregards our autonomy and the lives of our people will be considered aggression, and we will respond accordingly in self-defense.

For Nuerland and its People.

God bless Nuerland.

God bless Naath Defense Forces.
