Ulang: Press Release

Feb - 25 - 2025

On the morning of February 25, 2025, at approximately 8:30 AM, an SSPDF (South Sudan Defense Forces) Army helicopter gunship conducted an aerial bombardment on the village of Tharnöör Mänä, a cattle camp located in Doma, Ulang region, Nuerland. The attack was carried out indiscriminately, striking both livestock and civilian positions, resulting in significant destruction and loss of life and properties. Earlier that same day, at around 6:30 AM, the first bombing occurred in the civilian areas of Chuil, and Yakuach, Nyirol region, several kilometers away from Doma along the Sobat river causing displacement of civilians and loss of property.

This follows an earlier incident on February 23, 2025, when the Fourth Division of the SSPDF Army, under the command of General Puljang, launched an assault on a civilian village in Mayom, Bul Land. The attack was purportedly in response to alleged cattle raiding disputes between Bul Nuer and Dinka youths, yet it disproportionately targeted non-combatants, exacerbating tensions in the Bul Nuer region.

These aggressive actions by the South Sudan genocidal government against the people of Nuerland represent a clear escalation toward all-out war. The continued perpetration of violence against our villages and cattle camps demonstrates a blatant disregard for human life. In response, the Nuerland first line of defense, Naath Defense Forces (NDF) currently stationed along the Nuerland and South Sudan border have been placed on high alert. We remain steadfast in our commitment to protect our people and defend our land against these atrocities.

Every citizen of Nuerland, whether at home or abroad, stands united and prepared to confront the injustices and violence inflicted by the South Sudan government. We will not waver in our resolve to safeguard our nation and its people.
